The roller coaster

Our life has been one really long roller coaster ride the last several months (years?).
This post is to provide a brief post for now, on was is REALLY happening with us :)
We thought everything was a GO for the job in MS but as details become more clear, it become more evident that actually, it was not going to work. We were stressed, sad, overwhelmed and excited all at once. We thought it was what we were meant to be doing, were sad to leave our home, overwhelmed not having a clue what we would now do, and excited to be able to stay in MN after all.
AHH. But, one thing right after another God provided. He has provided us with an amazing family and support group to ride the roller coaster with us (and they even held a going away party turned not going away party for us). He has provided plenty of work for Isaac. Although nothing full time or permanent, he's being allowed to teach two classes at the U of M despite the fact that many have lost their jobs. He will be also be teaching a class or two (TBD) at Augsburg College in the fall. (We can be praying that the Augsburg job could turn permanent??) These things together are far more than has been available in the past. We are so thankful. He also provided us with an amazing housing opportunity for the academic year.

Isaac will still be leaving for Africa next Monday, June 29th and will return to MN on August. 8th. We would appreciate prayers for all of us as we're apart for 7 weeks. The kiddos and I will be enjoying time in Alaska with lots and lots of family to love on Mado and Max while their daddy is away.

Tonight several friends of ours helped Isaac to move out the majority of our big furniture and most of the boxes. We'll be camping out at least tonight on air mattresses as we finish up last minute things.

Our next blog post will probably be from Alaska! Yippee!
