A lot has happened in the last month!
We were blessed to have lots of wonderful visitors in the month of October. We were feeling a wee bit homesick and it was wonderful to have some of the people we love come to spend time with us.
The first visitor was Miss O (Sheryl still seems odd for me. Isaac pulled it off once, I think.)
Sheryl was a teacher at the boarding school we attended in Ivory Coast and was also a friend and mentor to me. We hadn't seen each other since we said our goodbyes in Ivory Coast at my graduation in 1999. It was so great to just hang out and catch up on the last 11 years. One of the super cool things was that we got to celebrate her birthday with her.
Of course my kids loved her right away and could sense the love she had for them despite never meeting them in person before now. It was a very restful and enjoyable time. Thank you Miss O for taking the time and spending the money to come see us!
